MAGUFULI REITERATES HIS COMMITMENT TO 'PIERCING RIPE BOILS'

PRESIDENT John Pombe Magufuli yesterday likened government officials who failed to execute their roles diligently to people who had committed heinous crimes.

He also reaffirmed his stance against irresponsible government officials, saying they willnot be spared as long as he was the President.

"When yo see me 'piercing such boils,' you need to understand that such people have committed big crimes against Tanzanians," said the President while addressing a congregation that gathered for a Sunday mass at the Epiphany Catholic Church in Burka.

The President also assured Arusha residents that he would not let them down in his crusade against corrupt officials.

Ever since he assumed the top most office in the land, President Magufuli has embarked on cracking the whip on corrupt and irresponsible officials.

He appealed to Arusha residents to have patience on his leadership, saying he was steering the right country on the right path.

"Tanzanians are faced with multiple and enormous challenges; please bare with me as I solve your problems," he said.  The President is in Arusha for a five day official tour.

On Saturday, he commissioned 586 officer cadets a the Tanzania Military Academy in Monduli and is today expected to officiate the opening of PPF Plaza.
